I love photography and I love to teach. In my 20 + years as a professional newspaper, magazine and commercial photographer, I’ve acquired a lot of knowledge about photography.
It’s time to share!
I’ve been a photographer for as long as I can remember. From the moment I walked into my mom’s makeshift darkroom in the bathroom when I was 5 years old and watched that print magically appear in the tray of chemicals. I was hooked.
I got my first full-time photography job at 18 and have invested immeasurable amounts of time into learning my craft. Photography has taken me to some of the most amazing places on earth and has allowed me to meet some of it’s most amazing inhabitants.
I have had a very diverse photographic career. I have photographed everything from natural disasters to major sporting events to national advertising campaigns to priceless once in a lifetime personal moments.
I’ve had hundreds of my photos used on the covers of magazines, and thousands of photos published in both editorial and advertising features in publications around the world.
My photography assignments have taken me around the world and challenged me to learn how to shoot a multitude of different subjects in every condition imaginable.
In high school I had a photography teacher who had a huge impact on my life. Since high school, I have always wanted to return to the classroom as a teacher in hopes that I could make a similar difference in a young person's life.
